Eurocomb core material might be
aluminum, meta-aramid (Nomex), polypropylene, paper, etc.
Eurocomb is a metallic, light-weight honeycomb material mainly
applied as core material in sandwich composite constructions,
but also in other applications as for example shock absorbers,
flow directionalizers and water jet cutting equipment. For the
production of this core chromated aluminum foil is used in a thickness
of 80µm and 60µm. Eurocomb-core exhibits high strength-to-weight
properties as well as excellent thermal and electric conductivity.
Aside from this, Eurocomb is corrosion and heat resistant. These
properties make Eurocomb an ideal construction material in light-weight
construction and an optimal base plate for water jet cutting.
Availability of Eurocomb
The standard programme of “11Oktomvri-Eurokompozit”
comprises composites based on the following Eurocomb types:
Eurocomb 4.8-77
Eurocomb 9.6-55
Eurocomb 6.4-60
Eurocomb 12.7-42
Eurocomb 6.4-82
Eurocomb 19.2-29
Eurocomb 6.4-82 for example describes
an aluminum core type with a cell size of 6.4mm and a density
of 82kg/m³. Delivery of core types with other cell sizes
and/or densities is available upon request.
The largest available
dimension is:
length (W) : 2500 (±100)mm
width (L) : 1250 (±50)mm |
|
Core thickness (T) of between
2 (±0.20)mm and 300 (±5)mm according to customer
requirements are readily available. Aluminum core of other dimensions
may be applied upon request.
Eurocomb composites are produced
in different thickness and in various skin materials.
